Last night was a two mile rehab run fresh off the 6.2 mile race on Saturday. I have a long way to go to get back to where I was but the knee is holding up very well.

3 mile recovery run for me last night. Tonight I have 6x400m on the schedule... hopefully the storms roll through before I need to get to the track!

Spin yesterday, ran 7.75 mi today, hoping to hit the gym later today to get some weights in.

Took a nice walk today- my knee was very stiff so now it is nice and normal- tomorrow back to running

3.6 mile run/walk tonight as I continue to get the knee stronger. My stamina is in the crapper and I have a long road back to better fitness. I am just hoping to get enough back so I can have a decent race in Virginia Beach.

It's been a busy week. My son needs a ride to/from work so I've had to get up an hour early and then my sister who lives 1+ hours away has had car issues so I've made a trip each night to her house. I did run 6 miles yesterday afternoon. It was hot and hard, but I DID IT!! Actually, it wasn't an awful as I thought it was going to be though I suffered through the last 2 miles (should have stopped at 4).
I slept in this morning...and will do my workout later.

5.5 sweaty miles this morning. The sky was clear but I could still see lightning? Very strange. Tonight I work out with my trainer again. I am dead tired just thinking about that.

I'm checking in with absolutely no pain or twinges in achilles for 2 whole days I'm ready to run (lets see if the PT agrees tonight... )

Checking in with 17 miles on the bike, then 20 minutes racquetball.....after that I was POOPED OUT. Need to work on my stamina too!

Got in 7 miles this morning. Sweaty miles but good overall. Getting my new Garmin. today I think this is like the 20th time I've mentioned it...can you tell I'm excited?!?!?!?!

Grace - YAY! for no pain or twinges!
Did an ~1.75 mile warm-up jog to the track yesterday, then did my 6x400m repeats. They hurt... form felt off, arm swing was weak... but they are done. I think my right arm was tired from running the warm-up with a relatively heavy water bottle.

I did a little over 4 miles last night. It was warm. I tried to push the speed up a little but my body just didn't want to. Both my hammies felt tight but no pain or soreness. I'm kind of sad that my legs and lungs are revolting.

This has not been a good week for xtraining. I'm just not getting to bed early enough to wake up that extra hour early. Last night, my meeting went later than I expected and when I got home decided to play ping-pong with my son instead of my workout. I won one game. he won 4
This morning... won! I have 8 miles on the schedule for tonight and then to bed EARLY!! (I know...Good Luck with that!)

Ping pong is a workout Annie! And spending time with loved ones is a good workout for the heart.
won over for me this morning as well. Was only planning an easy 3 miles so I will try to squeeze them in tonight or tomorrow morning.

I am checking in with my speedwork and a strength training workout last night.

Well I chose to sleep in this morning instead of the 3.5 I need. I will do those tomorrow morning instead. I re-arranged my workouts with my trainer, moved him to Monday instead of Wednesday. With the Wednesday mileage increases I can't run and do strength training in the same day. I was pooped last night.

It's a real balancing act to train for a half marathon /marathon and incorporate some strength, xtraining into your schedule and not burn yourself out. Good for you for listening to your body and knowing when to make a change.

What a crappy run!!!! Everything about just was not good. My stride felt off and i felt like . That about sums that up. About 5 miles in 50 min. Whatever its done. and i am moving on!
